During his semi-annual visits to the western part of the Canadian diocese, Metropolitan Vitaly (Oustinov), First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Abroad, would give lectures for the benefit of those assembled. These impromptu homilies were conducted entirely in the English language. They are full of the warmth and wisdom of a revered and respected hierarch of the Church, who laboured over sixty years in pastoral service to the flock of Christ.
